Hackers are trying to gain access to the Danish healthcare system on a daily basis, and in several of our neighbouring countries they have succeeded.

The Danish Health Data Authority hosts a panel discussion, which will take a closer look at the origins of the threat actors and what our adversaries are trying to achieve. It will also address how we best protect the different sectors that make up the Danish healthcare system from cyber attacks, and what happens if someone does manages to breach the system?

The debate takes place Thursday afternoon from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm in the Danish Health Authorities’ tent (J25) where a panel consisting of Henrik Skovfoged, Business Unit Lead at Trifork Security, Klaus Larsen, Director of Digitization and IT, Region North Jutland, Søren Bank Greenfield, Department Head at the Danish Health Data Authority, and Vibeke van der Sprong, Deputy Director at the Danish Health Data Authority will discuss the above issues. The walk starts at 12:30 pm from Check Point One (J30) and concludes at 1:15 pm. You can read more about the event here.

Trifork Security’s COO, Michael Wätjen, is bringing appropriate footwear and will join the walk.

Later in the day, Michael will also participate in the debate hosted by Kombit titled “If you don’t want to develop the systems, we’ll do it ourselves ;)”. This debate addresses the lack of interest in bidding for national public systems, and whether it is time to re-consider the way we shape public tenders. It will take place at the IT Industry’s IT-Paratskib (H10) from 5:00 pm to 5:45 pm and you can read more here.
