As a part of Splunk’s EMEA Splunk Digital Resilience Week 2024, they are running their flagship Boss of the SOC (BOTS) event both virtually and in-person in multiple cities across EMEA. In Denmark, the in person event will take place in Copenhagen at Trifork’s head office.
BOTS is a blue-team capture the flag-esque competition. As a contestant, you will explore and investigate realistic event data in Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Enterprise Security. During the EMEA wide competition on Thursday 7th March you will practice your security skills and compete against peers for prizes and bragging rights.
To enter, build a team of op to four players. You will be given a series of questions of varying type and difficulty and points are awarded for both accuracy and speed. Competitors will gain a stronger and more realistic understanding of their strengths regarding incident investigations. In addition, the results will highlight areas for training and education.
The competition runs for four hours, with a 30 minute kick off and end with a winners ceremony. For those joining at the in person events, the day will complete with networking.
